Games Jones Knows is a data driven Sky Sports pundit known for making Premier League predictions each weekend and regularly contributing to its betting tips page.

Gibbs-White showed his worth against Birmingham City with an assist and goal, setting his sights on more in this matchup. Active from midfield he sent in numerous crosses during this defeat.

1. Erling Haaland to score first at 6/1

Erling Haaland has quickly established himself as one of the game’s premier strikers since joining Manchester City. Already this season he has scored 14 Premier League goals, putting him within touching distance of breaking Alan Shearer’s all-time goal total of 114 top flight goals.

Haaland stands just short of two metres and boasts an agile body which he uses to maximize aerial opportunities. Since joining City in 2017, he has had eleven headed attempts at goal – which could prove crucial if deadlock is present here.

Bournemouth conceded 21 set piece goals last season, making them in need of help in the final third. Haaland’s 6/1 odds for scoring first make them all the more appealing.

2. James Garner to score at 11/1

Garner has been playing exceptionally well, helping his side back on track through two goals Games, two assists, 17 shots taken and 14 opportunities created over his last five starts.

Smarterscout ranks this 21-year-old as a player ranked in the top half for several key stats such as shots taken and chances created, as well as being an effective tackler and capable of passing out from his back in possession.

He’s had great success against Luton, scoring two penalty kicks at Kenilworth Road. I expect him to explode against this weak defense.

3. Morgan Gibbs-White to score at 7/1

After successfully picking Erling Haaland to score a header at 6/1 last weekend, our betting guru is back for more Premier League value – this time by targeting Morgan Gibbs-White as his target striker.

Nottingham Forest attacker Joe Ledley has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, leading his club in shots, crosses, chances created and penalty scoring (one against Brighton in recent win). He scored both penalties this term – one in recent win vs Brighton!

Gibbs-White impressed in his short stint with Sheffield United last season and Paul Heckingbottom has taken note of him. Now that Donny van de Games Beek has moved onto Manchester United, Gibbs-White could replace him at Everton this summer and could score frequently at Goodison Park during 2023/2024.

4. James Maddison to score at 20/1

James Maddison scored on his Tottenham debut from eight yards to open up Sunday’s 2-2 north London derby draw, also providing Son Heung-min with his goal. Maddison made an excellent first impression since moving for PS40m from Leicester, scoring first goal and providing assist to Son.

He ranked among the top 25 players in the Premier League last season for possession regains and created six chances. But it may be too much, too soon as Spurs are currently heavily reliant on Richarlison and Arnaut Danjuma to lead them.

Ange Postecoglou’s system suits this all-round workhorse perfectly, and he has much to prove this weekend. At 20/1 odds he is worth giving a small punt at making his mark and scoring.

5. Lewis Grabban to score at 125/1

Last season’s top scorer Lewis Grabban made his return to Nottingham Forest following a disappointing loan stint at Sunderland. Although welcomed back with open arms at City Ground, not everything has gone according to plan since.

His slow start left fans questioning whether the former Bournemouth striker would fit into Graham Karanka’s squad, but since then he has proven his worth with 15 goals scored in 17 appearances for Liverpool and is clearly an asset to Graham Karanka’s side.

Last time out, his efforts saw him record 10 crosses and nine corners while also producing two shots (none on target) and creating three chances during 90 minutes of football. With West Ham conceding Games plenty of goals recently, expect this productive midfielder to produce results!
